The Costco food pantary is hosting a ‘Food For All’ event to help those in need.
The charity is hosting its annual Food For All event, which will be held at the Costco Food Court in Melbourne on January 10.
Organisers said the event was intended to help food insecure households.
Costco is known for its fast-food chains and a number of other items, but the store is also known for offering free meals to those in debt.
Organiser Kate Tarrant said the group had also planned to offer food to those with allergies.
“This is an opportunity for the public to come and have a meal, which is always appreciated,” Ms Tarran said.
“We want to give a boost to people struggling financially and in debt and we know that many of these families are struggling with health issues as well.”
Many people can’t afford the rent or utilities but they also have children who need to be fed.
“It is very important to us that everyone is able to have a nutritious meal at Costco.”
A member of the public will also be allowed to have their picture taken with a member of staff and a special guest.
